Doddi's Dash - Sat 21st Nov - Call for Nominations

Mandurah Masters Swimming Club officially invites all member fillies, colts, mares, stallions and geldings to nominate for the fifth running of the 2020 Doddi's Dash on Saturday 21st November - the race that stops a very small section of Halls Head!

For those new to the Club, Doddi's Dash is a 1 km Handicap Race, where the faster you can swim the later you start. Conversely, the slower you swim (or more money you pay the handicappers) the bigger the head start you get on the rest. This is all about the honour of winning and adding your name to the Barb Pellick Pertual Golden Goggles Trophy list of suspicous winners; Peter King, Steve Crake, Sarah Denny and Brett Matters.

Order for the Day:

  1. Register from 7.30 am to 8.00 for both "Fashions on the Foreshore" = F and the BIG race.

  2. Parade 8.00 am to 8.45 am.

  3. Prepare for Doddi's Dash Swim 8.45 am - 9.00 am.

  4. Doddi's Dash Safety Brief on beach 9.00 am - 9.15 am.

  5. The Big Race 9.15 am - 10.00'ish.

  6. Dry off and stay for presentation of prizes and enjoy coffee and BYO BBQ. From 10.15 am onwards

In more detail:

Prior to the running of Doddi's Dash, the "Fashions on the Foreshore" parade will be held. This is not an event for the faint hearted. Who could forget Captain John setting the standard last year with his spectacular speech as none other than the President of United States of America - Mr. Donald Trump. Last year the theme was the letter "D", this year's theme will be "F".

Doddi's Dash is actually the second part of a trifecta of fun, fitness and friendship.

The third instalment is the Post Race brag and prize giving which will start immediately after the excitement of the running of the 2020 Doddi's Dash. BYO drinks and BBQ.

Of course the cherry on the cake is that we hope to raise even more money than last year to donate to a local charity (more details to follow).

How to Enter

You can enter "Fashions on the foreshore" and/or Doddi's Dash by emailing the Club the events you would like to enter at mandurahmannas@gmail.com and paying your $10 entry fee (it's $10 to enter both or either).
