Reminder of Coast Care Planting Sun 21 July
The coast (especially Doddi's Beach) is our playground, let's make it still fun for years to come!
Please come and join the fun with your family at the annual dune re-vegetation at Robert Point. Assembly point will be the western car park of Doddi's Beach (the one with the ships anchors on display) from 9.00am to 12 noon.
Wayne Cable is putting together a wonderful Mannas team to assist with Coast Care planting on Sunday 21st July. It is a City of Mandurah project involving Alcoa, Mandurah Masters Swimming, and the Community. We will be planting seedlings provided by the City, and if time permits, carry out an emu pick in the Doddi’s, Blue Bay Beach areas. Morning tea will be provided by the City at around 10:00, with a sausage sizzle planned in appreciation for volunteers, after wrap up.
This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to our community and an excellent social outing!
Equipment, some PPE, will be provided by the City, but we suggest people bring along warm, shower proof clothing, a hat and remember to wear enclosed shoes (maybe some gardening gloves). The City of Mandurah Natural Areas team will be onsite with plants and equipment to guide and help us.
