Thank you to the 2018 AP&ES Games Volunteers
Well the AP &ES Games have been in full swing this week in Mandurah and it was all action at the pool on Thursday and Friday. A big thank you to the 15 Mandurah Masters members who assisted with the timekeeping over the two days and thanks to Lindsay Boddy who assisted on Thursday. The Swim Meet was officiated at by our own swimming association, Masters Swimming WA, with Des Seery being on pool deck for the two days.
Thank you to Masters Swimming WA for stepping in to run the meet together with Karl Roots from the Mandurah Swimming Club who ran the technical side of it.
We had the opportunity to watch a lot of outstanding swimming from competitors from all over Australasia and none was better than our own Anwar Moreno who managed to fit in some very exciting swims whilst still working! Local identities from the pool, Debbie Gillard, Wendy Cole, Jeannette Rein and Phil Clews also showed off their swimming skills whilst representing various Emergency Services and the WA Police.
(Thank you to Ivan & Des for the photos and Deb for her report.)
